Hands-On Reptile Presenter

Prehistoric Inc. is currently looking for outgoing crew members to entertain and educate children and adults alike in our hands-on Jurassic Party presentations across Southern California.

This position is perfect for someone with strong people skills, especially children, who are passionate about learning and then teaching the community about reptiles. Responsibilities will include handling and presenting reptiles for Jurassic Party events both on and off site.

Jurassic Party presenters regularly interact with reptiles, amphibians, and bugs on a regular basis and must be able to maintain their composure while handling these animals.

This position requires individuals with reliable transport carrying a valid CA drivers license and a great driving record. Because of the nature of these events the position is part time based on reservations and availability on Saturday and Sunday is a must.

Blogger / Publicist

Prehistoric Inc. is currently looking to add a member to the team who is skilled in public relations, social media, and customer service.

This team member must be able to articulately share their interest and passion for reptile education through blogging and daily posts across influential social media outlets. When a mastery of these skills is proven there are several opportunities for increased public relations responsibilities within the company.

While on-site, this position will also involve face to face customer interaction at the hands-on booth inside The Reptile Zoo. Here your responsibly will be providing the utmost customer service and encouraging guests to enjoy all aspects The Reptile Zoo has to offer. As part of the unique hands-on interaction Prehistoric Inc. offers its customers reptiles, amphibians, and bugs are handled on a regular basis. All staff must have (or acquire) a basic knowledge of these animals and be able to maintain their composure while handling.

Additionally this position has the opportunity for growth representing Prehistoric Inc. and its subsidiaries at various special events across Southern California. This position requires individuals with reliable transport carrying a valid CA driver’s license and a great driving record. Because of the nature of special events, availability on Saturday and Sunday is a must.

Graphic Designer

Prehistoric Inc. is currently looking to add a member to the team who is skilled in graphic design for print and web applications.

This team member will be given hands-on experience in assisting the brand manager from conception to execution across a variety of media.

Technical Proficiency:Adobe Creative Suite CS4 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge)

Film/Video Editing

Prehistoric Inc. is currently looking to add a member to the team who is skilled in film and video editing.

This team member will be given hands-on experience in video prodcution specifically targeted for internet viewers from conception to execution.

Future Positions

Special Event Customer Engagement

Prehistoric Inc. is looking for seasonal staff for our interactive reptile displays in Fountain Valley and Yorba Linda during the month of October.

During this event Prehistoric Inc. provides an educational and interactive reptile booth for guests. Your responsibilities would include engaging customers while promoting our company, interactive photos and reptile ownership.

The second responsibility in this position is running the photo area where you will be required to process transactions, photograph guests, and pose an 8-12 ft Burmese python.

This position requires someone who thrives in a fast paced environment with great communication skills, the willingness to engage customers to promote sales, and a basic knowledge of reptiles.

Sales Associate

As a member of our Sales and Service team, you will use product knowledge to provide exceptional service to customers and build relationships with them. The goal is to develop customers for life. To ensure each customer has a positive shopping experience and to remember that the customer is the top priority.

As a Sales Associate you are a “jack of all trades”. You will flex between the different requirements in our retail environment through acting as a greeter, cashier, stock support, phone answerer, and of course animal caretaker…whatever the call of duty requires. You will need to be a highly motivated, efficient, flexible individual who is comfortable with a fast pace and constantly changing priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Engagement: Smiling and welcoming guests, answering the telephone and proactively providing assistance to customer needs.

Cash Register Operation:
• Display a customer comes first attitude and deliver quality customer service
• Process accurate and efficient transactions
• Respond and resolve customer requests and concerns
• Provide an inviting environment for the customers by maintaining a neat and clean area
• Adhere to all company policies procedures and safety standards
• Be a team player and contribute to the store success

Animal Care: Ensure all animals are properly and thoroughly cared for through established company guidelines including cleaning, watering, and feeding.

Performs other store duties as needed to ensure smooth operations and to meet customer needs.

Possesses good product knowledge, understands merchandising, and maintains a clean, neat and organized shopping environment for customers.

REQUIREMENTS:
